623. Commander (pre-Bijou)

Permanent misunderstanding and mess with Victorinox‘ knives naming – it’s a most annoying thing for collectors (personally for me it’s an absolute evil).

Today’s knife had at least several different names over the years.
The last modern one was called Bijou – from the technical view it’s the same as popular Classic, but without keyring (also version Bijou SD exists which is descended from Classic SD accordingly).

Version, which was predeccesor of Bijou we know as Commander (at least in the USA, where it was sold by Swiss Army Brands Inc.), but interesting fact – in old Hoffritz catalogs it was listed as Tinker (11096 / 11207). Another thing – variation with and without toothpick/tweezers also had the same name Commander. Besides that, the Commander was released either with open (current one) or closed rivets.
