627. Angler Plus
The Victorinox Angler Plus – it’s a one from rare and vintage model, which was produced only during a brief period in the past. There is not too much information about this model, I don’t remember any official catalog with information about it. SAKWiki also still doesn’t have information about this knife (I’ve added this model to the full list but didn’t created a new dedicated page yet).
So, Angler Plus – technically looks like a regular Angler model plus additional wood-saw. The current one is a vintage one with an old-fashioned awl and shackle.

Hello, I think you are wrong about Angler Plus saying it is regular angler with wood saw added. Regular angler have corkscrew, fish scaler and PLIERS, and this one you called Angler Plus is nothing like Angler nor Fisherman, latter have scissors but Philips instead of corkscrew. So this one is quite a mixture of both with added wood saw. I think you shouldn’t call it an Angler variation.
hi Adrian,
First of all – thanks for your comment!
Regarding naming of this model. I do believe that you for sure know next two facts:
1. Original Angler model was produced with scissors, but not pliers; later (once pliers were released) scissors were replaced by the pliers.
2. It’s a common practice (not a strict rule) for Victorinox – add word “Plus” to the model, extended by adding of wood-saw (Electrician, My First Victorinox, etc.)
These two facts mainly were taken in consideration, once I’ve decided to call it “Angler Plus”. From other hand, if Fisherman Plus (also an unofficial name) exists, why Angler Plus cannot be used as a name?
So, I prefer to stay as is with current naming. If you’d like to continue with discussion – welcome! 🙂
