839. Ambassador (Silver scales)
Last in this year, but not in this blog (I hope!), another Victorinox knife – it’s an ‘enlarged’ (to the 74-mm) version of famous 58-mm Classic, also known as Ambassador.
Over the years, this model was produced with several types of scales from a variety of materials. Mine has fancy scales made from sterling, looks great, doesn’t it?

These scales on this knife are produced in Norway. They are the Telemønster design. The Norwegians call this the Rosemaling designs. All Norwegians are familiar with this design. Silver 830 knives, forks and spoons are still today available in this design. Victorinox probably got a an order for these designs from Telemønster in Norway. Simply known as Tele,
