647. Fischermesser

One more knife from “fish” series – as many others, without own name. In collectors’ societies is known as “Fischermesser” (accordingly to naming from old German catalog from Victorinox).
I have another variation of this knife in my collection, but version with special design of scissors still only in my wish-list..

646. Angler Deluxe

The Victorinox Angler Deluxe is a model which was produced during relatively short period of time. It one layer wider than base Angler, this additional layer includes scissors and multipurpose hook.
Interesting fact: accordingly to SAKWiki, this model had several names through the years: at beginning it was called as Waterman, later on – it was known as Angler with Pliers.
But Angler model already included pliers, isn’t it? Maybe more logical was call this model “Angler with Scissors“?
The answer should be as “yes” either “no”. The reason of this “strange” naming was in fact, that first edition of Angler (Angler Original in other words) had scissors instead of pliers.

645. Bladeless

Two previous posts were about Apple JetSetter’s family − small pocket knives without blade. Earlier we’ve also reviewed some other knives from this series (I mean JetSetter at all, not only made in contribution with Apple) − JetSetter 1 and JetSetter 3.
All of them are direct descendants from old model with surprising name − Bladeless. As I’ve already mentioned before, the only one small difference between this model and more modern JetSetter 1 − it’s a replacement of pen by toothpick.

644. JetSetter Apple 32G

As I promised earlier, today we’ll review another model from JetSetter series. It’s also a part of cooperation with Apple company – JetSetter Apple 32G variation. It’s including not only bigger flash-drive, but partially different tools.
Unfortunately, today I cannot say that will continue review this series soon – third, the latest one (JetSetter Apple 16G) is missing in my collection (for now..)

643. JetSetter Apple 8G

Another pretty rare model, which doesn’t has an own name and belongs to JetSetter series. Current one was released in 2012 as part of cooperation Victorinox with.. Apple company, so unofficially this model was known as JetSetter Apple 8G.
Interesting fact: this is a one from few model, which doesn’t have any tang on blades (because there are no blades!!!)
To be continued..

642. Golfer Special

The Victorinox Golfer Special really is a very special (and rare!) model. There are no too much information about it in internet, even SAKWiki has a very laconic article about it (picture of knife within this article looks a little bit familiar, isn’t it?). I suppose (but I don’t have any proof, of course) that this model was exclusively produced for US market only.

641. Super Timer

Which model from Victorinox knives is a most ‘equipped‘?
If we will exclude from all variety of models few ones, produced not for people but for collectors, in result we’ll get a Super Timer – ‘older brother’ of famous Swiss Champ.
Additionally to all tools from Swiss Champ, this model has an analogue clock  (like TimeKeeper has) in own scales (and missing tweezers as result of this substitution).
Rare and nice.

639. Special Pioneer X – VSAKCS 2016

Few years before, in 2016 Victorinox company realized a long-waited desire (I could say – obsession, but I wouldn’t) of hundreds people. They’re realized an Alox model with scissors (first one after vintage Voyager!) − Pioneer X.
Moreover, the same model was released as Damast knife of the Year soon after this. So, we had two new knives for this year. Is it enough? For sure − no, and specially for VSAKC society as model of the year was released ‘light’ version of  the same knife. It was called a Special Pioneer X and was thinner for few millimeters due to removed openers layer.
Stop talking, let’s see the pictures of this beauty..

638. Premier

I have to agree with SAKWiki’s article, which saying that it’s a “very, very interesting model”.
First of all, it’s not a 100% Victorinox − it has a Wenger shield on scales and Wenger tang stamp on front side of main blade. From other side, it’s absolutely not a Wenger model − because it’s a 84-mm (Wenger series was a 85-mm based), it  has a Victorinox tools (blade, combo-tool, toothpick, tweezers and even key-ring) and it has a 100% – genuine Victorinox tang stamp “Officer suisse” on back side of main blade.
Besides of all these facts, no doubt that Premier is a very interesting and unique knife. Victorinox or Wenger? Never mind! Keep calm and collect them all..
