Yes, my collection contains only Victorinox knives. No other trademarks, no other knives, even original / genuine Swiss ones (bye-bye, Swiza!)
But I couldn’t find any reason for myself to not add this Soldat 1961
to my collection. Will be a member of small family
Another advertisment khife from Swiss Avia Club “Avianna” – Victorinox Pioneer.
Early variation of Electrician Alox model with old cross. Before 1980 this model had a name Model 2212.
The last and the biggest member of Alox Limited Edition 2016 series – Pioneer.
- Soldier 1961
- Pioneer X
The Victorinox Farmer is a 3-layers 93-mm model, which is very similar to popular Pioneer. My variation is an old-style knife with red scales and old cross (OC) instead of modern shield.
Another Victorinox Soldier 1961
knife from the big variety
of these models.
Has ’03’ stamp on blade’s reverse.
The Victorinox Apprentice Alox is a pretty uncommon and rare model. It’s a single-layer 93-mm model, which includes only two tools – main blade and electrician blade.
As probably you know, the same name Apprentice
was used for the absolutely another model
on the past as Victorinox
company did many times.
P.S. Interesting fact – looks like for this knife main blade was used from Soldier 1961 model – check the ’07’ stamp on back side.
In 2016 Victorinox announced the new model in Alox series – well-known Pioneer but… with added scissors. The dream became a reality..
Few monts later the same model will be released as a part of Damascus series, but this is an absolutely another story – hope we’ll talk about this knife a little bit later.
The Victorinox Technician is a definetely rare model in 93-mm format which equipped with another rare tool – technician (or small in other words) screwdriver.
In addition to these combination of uniqueness, my knife was an official model for Swiss Federal Railways – on the top scale you can see stamped letters SBB-CFF, which means abbreviation for the name of this company in two languages, German and French accordingly:
Schweizerische Bundesbahnen (SBB),
Chemins de fer fédéraux suisses (CFF)
