Previous post was about some Limited edition from 2017, so let’s continue this endless story..
Three years ago, as you all know (I’m absolutely sure by the way), Victorinox started new (every-year?) limited run of three Alox models –Classic SD, Cadet and Pioneer. In order to make these knives more attractive, every run produced in new color, 2017 bring us an olive-green models.
This time let’s start review all members of this LE from the youngest member, – Alox Classic SD LE 2017!
Few days ago I’ve published article about “unknown” edition of Classic SD. Approximately in 10 minutes after I’ve shared post on Facebook, I got an answer about knife’s model. Maybe this time I’ll be lucky too? (by the way, I have few other Classics, which still not identified…)
Update: It’s an Classic SD Argyle from LE2010. Thanks, !
Victorinox Classic SD, – this one looks like limited edition, but still cannot identify to which run it belongs.
Update: It’s a Classic SD Fern, produced (probably) before 2010. Many thanks to for extra-fast support with identifying!
Another pretty rare model, which doesn’t has an own name and belongs to JetSetter
series. Current one was released in 2012
as part of cooperation Victorinox
company, so unofficially this model was known as JetSetter Apple 8G
Interesting fact: this is a one from few model, which doesn’t have any tang on blades (because there are no blades!!!)
To be continued..
As probably you know, during last several years company Victorinox released special series of fashion designed Classic SD models.
For my collection I’ve bought one piece from this run – “The Mountailns are Calling“.
Article number of this model is 0.6223.L1604.
Today’s model is a last member of this series – regular Classic SD with new pattern on scales – Desert Camouflage.
Article number of this model is 0.6223.941.
Another variation of Victorinox knife without famous symol (Cross/Shield) – Classic SD with some Israelian symbols. Scales are damaged by (I suppose) a very hungry dog (I hope!).
A regular Bijou SD model, but with signature of somebody by name “G.Bush” (who is this person?) and gold logo of US vice-president.
Another limited Victorinox knife – Classic SD from series, dedicated to the Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996.
Few posts before I’ve presented 111-mm model (Rucksack) with World Globe logo instead of Swiss cross on its scales.
Today’s model is much smaller (Classic SD), but also has this sign – World Globe.
Just an another adveristment Classic SD.
The Victorinox Classic SD from Zodiac series. Aries sign on scale. As SAKWiki said, this series contains regular Classics, but mine is SD version. Maybe swapped scales, who knows?
Another variation of Classic SD with interesting scales’ design.
Victorinox Classic SD – interesting design from Classic LE2012 series. As far as I know, only this model with red-colored tweezers.
In 2007 Victorinox company released a new series of limited knives. This time it was a Classic SD Alox model in different colors: turquoise-blue, lime-green, hot-pink, orange, and silver.
The Classic Sterling Silver model is almost the same model as popular Classic, but without needed toothpick / tweezers and a little bit higher price.
I couldn’t discover more differencies…
In 2015 company Victorinox announced a new series of Limited Edition knives. Starting this year, they’re going to release simultaneously three Alox knives in some unusual color every year. Each time the three models will be released:
- Classic SD (58-mm);
- Cadet (84-mm);
- Pioneer (93-mm).
These models will be the same for all runs, but every time in a new color. For 2015 this color is “Still Blue”. So, let’s start: first model in Alox LE 2015 series is Classic SD!
